Overtime Calculator
Calculate overtime pay and total earnings using your hourly rate and overtime multiplier.
How it works
Regular hours are paid at your normal rate. Overtime hours are paid at your rate times the multiplier. Federal law generally requires 1.5× after 40 hours a week for non-exempt employees, and some states add daily overtime rules.
Formula
Total pay = rate × regular hours + rate × multiplier × overtime hours
Example
$20 per hour, 40 regular hours and 10 overtime hours at 1.5× = $800 + $300 = $1,100.
